Our first project, Protagonize, is now live! Protagonize is a creative writing community that allows writers to create, publish & share works with others.
Protagonize is an online writers' community that allows writers, both amateur and professional, to create, publish, and share their writing, collaborate with other authors, and connect with their readers. We developed Protagonize as an attempt to modernize the collaborative creative writing arena a bit and inject a little Web 2.0 love to produce a better interface. So far, so good.
Protagonize.com soft-launched on December 25th, 2007, to limited fanfare. After a couple of days of tweaks and revisions, bug fixes and minor feature additions, we started publicizing Protagonize across a variety of different sites, including del.icio.us, Digg, Facebook, Reddit, and Stumbleupon.
Lo and behold, the day of our official launch on December 28th, we were graced with a link from Mashable, followed by several other prominent blogs in different fields, such as the TechVibes blog in Vancouver, Larry Ferlazzo's teaching-oriented blog, and Kris Abel's Tech Life blog at CTV.ca. The large influx of traffic these excellent referrals generated caught us off-guard, but it's very fulfilling to see the interest the site has generated so far.
We'd like to thank everyone who has supported the site in these early days. Keep on writing! Taunt Media is looking forward to big things from Protagonize — and keep an eye out for our other projects currently in development!
